Our Residential Tutors who live in with a family, or in nearby lodging, can be hired at any time of year, for any period of time. Fast-track or long term, the intensive nature of in-situ daily tuition can really help students take major strides ahead in their learning. Some families like to use this service at home, wherever that may be in the world, whilst others choose to make use of the travel possibility, embarking on adventurous trips.
Rather than have to sacrifice a trip away, engaging a residential tutor enables students to balance time out with study over half term, Christmas, Easter, New Year or the long Summer holidays. Whether a family is choosing to homeschool in Bali for a term or “fill the gaps” of their child’s international schooling in the Cayman Islands, we can provide a tailored solution that will support an optimal education. However off-grid the location or adventurous the travel, we pride ourselves in finding the right fit of academic mentor.
Whilst we would encourage sticking to a routine to clearly define work and play, the tutoring schedule can be entirely flexible to suit the family. A popular pattern is 2-3 hours of tutoring in the morning, followed by 1-2 hours in the afternoon, with plenty of fun activities in between as suits the family. Some families choose to involve their tutors in extracurriculars, particularly if on a holiday at a ski resort or other remote location, whilst others opt for private family time.
Quotes will depend on the number of hours per week (typically ranging between 20-40) and the challenge of the assignment, plus the tutor’s flights, visa, insurance and full board. The luxury of having an on-site tutor also allows for extended learning beyond the curriculum, building key study and life skills as well as confidence. This is highly tailored tutoring that results in students walking away with a personalised learning toolkit alongside better grades and an inspired mind.
