“You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.”

Key Benefits

This course will give students a solid foundation in Joseph Campbell’s famous twelve stages of story outlined in The Hero’s Journey. Students will gain tools and narrative techniques to develop strong character driven stories, culminating in mapping and writing their own short story. Combining both the craft of writing and narrative techniques with exercises for students to explore and find their own writer’s voice, students will write an original story to share with the group whilst receiving feedback and guidance on editing.
