Whether a student enjoys discussing current affairs over the dinner table, needs a confidence boost with public speaking or would like to refine how they present arguments, Bespoke Tuition’s Debate Club is a fantastic way to hone a variety of skills whilst building general knowledge. Sessions can be adapted to coach individual students one to one, or support a group of up to 6 pupils for a more collaborative experience. Our Course Leaders are superb communicators and confidence-builders who will motivate students to find their voice and craft intelligent, well-structured rebuttals. Most attended Oxbridge with active involvement in the University Debating Clubs and many have gone on to train as barristers, public speakers and presenters.

MAX (BA, MA, MPhil) completed his various degrees at Yale, Oxford and Cambridge Universities. He regularly publishes reviews and essays in American and British magazines, like the New Yorker, the Times Literary Supplement, and Apollo. Max offers one to one debate coaching and facilitates our debate club for groups of up to 6 students upon demand. He is skilled at instilling confidence in students to build arguments and verbally express themselves with ease and self-assurance.

LAURENCE (MA History & Management: First) has tutored since 2013. Having attended Sevenoaks School, UK, he scored in the top 1% of IB students worldwide. Laurence took an active role in debating clubs through school and university. He was also a member of Model United Nations (MUN), and later on a public speaker for the Army, TEDx, on television, and in press events for his start-up businesses. Laurence has also taught Critical Thinking Masterclasses at Dulwich College, UK.
